Boggy only as boost comes on
I have an 83 280zx turbo stock. When driving everything feels good and normal except just as boost starts to kick in. After about around 2300 rpm its fine again runs good and strong. The only issue is right when boost starts to build.
I doubt any of the recent changes affected this. I noticed it a little beforehand. I just replaced the injectors with new stock ones. Also a walbro 392 was installed with a solid relayed/fused 12v source (Found a little write on hybridz). At first I had the pump wired directly into the stock wiring. I worked decent, but while skimming through the fsm I saw the stock wiring adjusts voltage to the pump. Walbro like 12v direct, I relayed it and fused it.
Just for some adjustment and preparation for future plans, an Aeromotive a1000 fpr is in too. I have pics on hybridz that I can post here if needed. I have the fpr set to around 36 at idle. When the car is turned off it holds at 25 ish.
Any ideas fellas on the boggyness as boost builds?

Turns out I had to rewire the pump with a relay and fuse to get 12v. After I set the fuel pressure to around 36 with the vacuum line disconnected. Everything was smoothed out. No more bucking, more power, but its still failing smog. High HC and CO at idle and high CO and high rpm.

Smog
How is your Cat ? You might need a new one, they do burn off a lot of crap that is passing to the tester. Also, depending on where you are there are ways of cheating the tests, with adjusting timing, etc. I have never needed to do that, but if you do a quick search I am sure you can get better details.
