i wish people would quit ruining their Zs with domestic engines. If you aren't satisfied with what the factory gave ya, then at least show some loyalty and get a skyline engine or something.

some times the rb engine cost to much for some people in the states so why not throw a v8 in.

honestly, my z is probably gonna get a SBCT or and ls1 or something, i take my favorite affordable and reliable motor which are currently a dime a dozen, then i take my favorite car and make something i can truly be proud of. that and me like most people dont have $5-6k to do a simple RB swap.

Although I'm not a huge fan of throwing in an american motor, at the same time I sort of like it. It really is an easy way to grab a good bit of power, helps to give a better center of gravity, and parts are cheap/easy to get ahold of. Plus more people are readily available to help work on it, since so many mechanics seem to be afraid of the Japanese engine.

My friend has been working on doing a swap in his 84' Corolla over to the later 20valve 4A-G motor, since it's only available in Japan he's been having a hard time collecting some of the final parts such as the ECU, MAP, Wiring Harness, and some other things.

ill stick a SBC in every z (except a 260z) up to the 89 z31, then an ls1 for the 90-96 z32's then stick an ls2 turbo in the z33.

Put an SR20DET in everything. That's the only REAL engine out there!

Whatever the motor, car looks to be a good project and if finished properly should perform. At least with the S130 there is a decent chassis to put something like a V8 in too.

I like it

For all you turbo junkies out there...the 3.8 v6 is chevy's most turbo-ed engine and its in the grand national which beat the viper in the 1/4 mile in a popular mechanics show down.
