Best way to test injectors?
Best way to test injectors?
Whats the best way to test the injectors to make sure their working 100% aka not leaking, not clogged, and still spray right?

Dude, you got to have some patience. Look at me. I blew up 2 Z cars, in one weekend. I fried the head on one, on a Thursday. Then blew the head gasket, on the other one, on Sunday. I still am without a running Z. I am currently, working on taking the head off. And take it down to the machine shop. When I get working again.
If you really want carbs in your Z. You should not give up so easily. If you are throwing in the towel. And wanting to convert back to EFI. You never really wanted carbs in the first place. That is how I look at it. Just giving you some friendly advice. Do what you think, is where you want it to be. Good luck

Well the issue is is that I need a car now and the SUs decided to throw up a problem I cant fix myself (I think) I tinkered with the carbs for at lest i don't know 8 hours or more just trying to get them set right. and they just wont hold a tune even tho EVERYTHING is cleaned and spotless and adjusted right even down to getting the fuel levels to the 23mm they need to be and they STILL wont run right.
Ok I'm gonna say that I take a T connector and a bunch of fuel lines and I hook it all to an EFI pump with a EFI regulator and shock the injector with a 9volt battery with the right polarity. How about that?
9v battery may not be the same ammount of voltage in the car but it could be more amps or some other value and kill them
Huh I've been wondering. whats the diff between the different colored injectors? I notice Green brown and black so far. Anyone know?
[2nd injector color post]
Ok I have 3 green injectors 3 pink injectors and 1 black injector. Which one does what!? Are they different CCs? Or what?

you'll have to search it, i've only found green injectors off of datsuns but at the same time i've only been searching for N/A injectors. pink is familiar. mabe supra injectors? black i have no clue
its strange because i have found the same greens in volvos subarus toyotas and mazdas. also green tops in I6 maximas are the same as green tops in I6 280s despite the displacement difference
The 9 volt bat worked fine. And YES the polarity matters BIG TIME and I now have 6 great injectors that dont leak and have a goos spray lol
And I've searched and searched and found nothing. the pink ones have the datsun/nissan shape emblem on the while the greens dont.

Ya their black bodies and green caps/connector. I noticed they do spray better then the old pink ones by far but the pink ones did their job good enough to pass lol.

and polarity doesent matter, i've hooked them up both ways and they spray, you run the risk of them not working ater a while when you switch it part way though its life.
your also using a 9volt battery to and the signal is going to be slightly different comming down the wire in the car
You really picky for someone that says it doesnt matter what polarity it is. Either way my setup worked and I tested then injectors just fine and their not burned up. Trust me when I say a car battery has more juice then a 9volt.
mine are factory installed and they are green topped they may be from beck but they are probally remans so they will most likely look the same.

I've seen so many different colors that its confusing... Pink Brown Green black white.... I think as long as the ohm and CC is the same you'd be fine. all of mine read the same ohm (once I cleaned the contacts)
Look at this for a DIY test rig.
