Been a while

Yo! I'm back...took a little hiatus...My 280ZX kinda crapped out on me...Was sitting in the garage for a year or so, until I sold it.

But the real news is that I just bought an s30, a 78.

You'll find pics are in my Zgarage profile, I tired to put them on here but dont know how to put them up from my hard drive...so maybe Bleach or someone else can enlighten me...

Hey! What gives...no replies...I know its a simple, "hey I'm back" post but still....
....where's the love??

Been doing a lot of reading since I logged back on...seems things haven't changed much...still lovin the Z...although it seems Rod and his Z have more of a love hate thing going on...Not exactly in a position to tell anyone to be patient cause I sold my Z when it got too much for me to handle, financialy or mentaly, however the stop smoking thing is all good, keep that up. I did the same two months ago...not easy and only the strong can do it.

Anyway, glad to be back though.

You know I think it is. Simply because everything is the same colour, and I mean, the strut tower covers, the head liner, the door panels and even the tail light inside finishing panel...now I dont know for sure if that colour was stock for that year or not but I like it too.

.....and thanks for the welcome...I feel better!

Hi, and welcome back. Quick question how do the s130 and the S30 feel in comparison? Just curious.

Hey! Welcome back ZNuclearBeast! I didn't realize it was you at first because I forgot that you changed your screen neame. Good to see you hangin' around again. Man, you did a ton of great work on that S130... What happened? Why did you let it go after all that hard work????????????

Hey thanks.

Actually, for me Its a bit of a toss up..I loved the ZX for its semi-luxury sportiness, kind of a Gran Tourismo, in my opinion. On the flip side the 78 drives a bit harsher, but feels a lot more like a sports car.

I know the weight difference between the 78 and the 81, I previously had was relatively minimal but still...who knows...I do love both Z's, both for their own flavour, but I guess eventualy I prefer the 78 for its styling, minus the bumpers but I haven't decided on their fate yet.

That can easily be fixed by going bumperless or using 240z bumpers.

Rod.

Hey dude, the ZX was awesome to me for the two years I had it...I drove the heck out of it and it just kept going...unfortunately there were too many things starting to go very wrong, like the floor pans and the frame rails and then right in the middle of winter the blower went while I was driving home on a rainy, foggy night. So then I tried to find the fault for a long frustrating few months, whenever I got the chnace to work on it in between life, but nada luck there. All the while it sat in the garage for like a year. It just kind of grew stale on me...hard to admit it but its true...I almost didn't sell it but then this S30 came up for sale and that was it.

Actually I just bought a BRE style front spoiler and was wondering what the Z would look like with no bumpers and the spoiler...That will be happening real soon I think!

240Z bumpers are kind of VERY hard to come by up here in Canuckland.
