Cool Back and luvin it

Heyas there all ya sexy Z Drivers you =^_^=. I'm like way happy to say that I'm back into the world of these wonderful Z's and it totally rocks (I so hated driving around this 96 Ford escort for a while). Well my wonderful new addition to Z's is a really pretty, cop-magnet red, S130 . And the best part of all...., I's is so turboed now . So far the things that have been done to the Z include lots of new minor stuffs like optima battery, rotors, pads, shocks, tires, etc....and of course a rebuilt motor. I know i have like lots to do before she's like really dependable . The things left to be done are the wipers don't work, way too much dancing and play in the rack and pinion, metal shavings and a tapping coming from rear end (as well as way too much play on driver side of diffy for comfort)so i'll probably need new diffy, new springs (i should just like get a complete bushing kit at this rate), new BOV (aftermarket one that's on there now totally sucks, it way too leaky for me), coolant system flush, and i have an intake bolt broken off in the head that i'm so gonna hate extracting. Other than that everything else feels and looks great....weather seals are great, no a/c unfortunately, heater works fine, t-tops no leak, and interior is in great shape and like way comfy. Here are some early pics when she was found in a field all alone and engineless...and the rebuilt turbo engine that went into her. I'll post more recent pics soon ^_^.

Here are a couple of pics in the field.

The empty engine bay

to much car not enough *****! lol :P but welcome back

also, the optima battery don't let it die! those battery's are decent power plants and dont leak but if they ever loose their charge once supposedly they will never re-charge again.

almost snw, if they do lose charge you are suppose to trickle charge them. charge them slowly instead of doing a full blast then they have a hard time re-charging.

Lol, and i always thought you an @$$ guy. Mebbe i'll do a swim suit photo with the Z. that would be fun. Oh, and I don't plan on taking chances with that battery, it's also the color of the car so that's cool too.

The driveway that was used to clean up the turbo and install it belonged to this awesome guy, Mr. Bobby, who has a thing for Z's. Dat yellow one his bebbeh.

Oh, curious. Would anyone happen to know where to get an intermittent wiper amplifier relay, the one located under driver side dash? Mine is like fried from freak soda accident . It looks like this...

Here are a couple of shots

This is the burned circuit (and me right after work ).

SQUEEEEE!E!E!E!E!E!E!E

Shes back!

Yellow Z- is now painted BRE red/white/blue and is Bobby's personal street/track car. its a tight ride. and thats using both literal and ebonic interpretations of the word "Tight".

Edit: i would get more specific, but i think he'd kill me. Slowly.

that wiper box is crappy. i had a heck of a time finding one for my 79. i have some for an 82. prolly would fit yours, prolly cheaper to find one local, shipping from me might be silly, but they are here if you need one.

..... Oh wow, I didn't even notice that. That's what I get for joining a sorority,right?

Seeing as there are like maybe 6 of the 1st and second gen Z's in this entire area driving around, junkyard pickings for these are like almost nonexistent, not to mention I really hate dealing with junkyard owners who say, "Well you should try this, and this, and this, cause i've been workin on cars for 30+ years and....." (Sry, random spiteful streak, two annoying shade-tree mechanics decided to grace me with their presence earlier today while i was working on red). My boss suggested to me to try and rebuild the one i have, but i'm like way lazy and would rather just find a working unit than gamble with something coated in Root Beer.

Oh, and quick question. I'd like to eventually do a manual swap into this one (yes it's auto, bleh...way too mushy for me ), but for now I'm stuck with the auto. Anyhoo, there's like this little green light that sits like an inch to the right of the gear selector that likes to come on whenever it feels the need, and I was curious if any of yall might know what it was?

I thinks i figured it out since it only comes on when i've hit cruise gear.

Hopefully i'll have new pics up tomorrow of red Z and current repairs being done as well as da engine bay.

I think i'm about to lose my diffy so like that's one thing that'll get checked on fer sure. Would like anyone happen to have a spare steering rack for sale or know where to get one? Junkyard pickings are just about nonexistent down here for Z's =[.
