Ok So i seen a few post about the switch. But I wanted to know if any one has tried to install the switch with the auto button into a 83 or anyone without the switch for that matter? And if I do have to modify something how hard would it be.

 

I wouldn't go to all that trouble for one lil auto switch (IMO). But if you are set on doing it, compare the 79 wiring schematic to the 83 (both can be downloaded from www.xenons130.com).
