Auto Trans Cooler Lines
Auto Trans Cooler Lines
Ok I just thought of something this morning. Don't the transmission cooler lines run into the bottom of the radiator on the Z cars? Either that or I'm only thinking of the dodge caravan radiators, but since I have to replace my radiator if the lines run into the bottom what do I do about hooking up my lines to the new radiator. Or should the new radiator have something for hooking up the automatic oil cooler lines?
Edit: Looking at some of the pictures, it looks like the replacement radiators come with the tubes necessary to hook up the auto tranny cooler lines to it. I thought you might have to order them separate, or hook up an independent oil cooler.

'79 280ZX with automatic's ran the trans lines to the radiators for cooling. I bypassed the radiator on ours and just went with an external aftermarket transmission cooler though. More efficient cooling, and less heat transfer from the water in the radiator.
