alright i need to stick something that is simila to a radio back in the car and fill the hole untill i get ready to pull the whole dash out and fix the ducting and seals.

but i dont want to the the huge blank pannel thing with the tiny head unit in it so does any one have any ideas on what i could do with the extra space?

currently theres nothing there, not even the old plastic the origonal radio came through, fomr some reason it ALL got hacked out of the front

drugs, kittens, midgets the list is endless! why not just barricade it up with something? like say a bit of cardboard/plastic and if it bothers you then just spray paint it the same colour as your interior

7 inch lcd with a good gps built in. Or dvd capabilities.

If you have auxiliary things such as fog lights or anything else that needs a switch - that would be a perfect place.
Also a cutout box for CDs and other miscellaneous stuff could be useful.
Countless gauges can be added in there.
Hell, even an indoor/outdoor temperature monitor there would be good.

i would put guages there but most of the time i'll own this car (if not all) it will be naturaly aspirated but i am not so sure.

ok so i guess just cutouts or pockets to put stuff.

does any one know what cars have the vertical cup holder that comes out of the dash and then kinda fold out once its out? i could sue a cupholder since it is a 5spd and the saddles are neat but i dont want the cupholders behind me though.

if i moved the mirror switches would the Console saddle thing from a 240/260/280 fit with its forward facing cuoholders?

i built a custom console for there that only holds the radio, no ashtray, no cig plug, nothing but the radio. i used fiberglass and cardboard, then had it upholstered and it looks sweet. kind of a first gen rx7 style. it swoops down like stock, but connects to the shifter area. i prolly should take pix one day. maybe tomorrow
