Yeah, the dealership should repair these items due to the recalls if they haven't already been performed. The age of the car does play a role in it though, so it's best to call the dealership and discuss it with the service manager.

Here's the info. I had researched a while back (same info. from Fubar's link above):

1979-1983 280ZX Recall
Auto Recall Date: 07/06/1987
Vehicle Component: POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:LEVER AND LINKAGE:FLOOR SHIFT
Estimated Vehicles Affected: 183519

Defect Summary: UNINTENDED ACCELERATION MAY OCCUR, FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN SHIFTING FROM THE PARK POSITION.
Defect Consequence: THIS COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
Remedy: INSTALL A SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEM WHICH PREVENTS THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT LEVER FROM BEING MOVED FROM THE PARK POSITION UNLESS THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED.
Notes: NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC.
