I'd upgrade to an F54 block in either case though. Don't use the block out of the 79 (or any pre 81 for that matter) They are pretty stout but not as strong as the F54. Especially in the case of the stroker. The F54 has extra strength cast into the water passages between the cylinders making it a more rigid block. Boring a cylinder that much over is just asking for trouble so you're going to want the best block to begin with. I'd personally stick with the stock displacement and just get a properly sized single turbo. But thats just me. If I had to choose between one of you two options then I'd go with the TT if I had the resources to make it happen. The 3.1 is best left to an NA motor that's not going to see rediculous power levels. More of a torque booster for a stock or mildly modified engine (IMO). It's been know to stand up though so...

If you're looking to push 400-500 hp out of it I'd stay away from the stroker setup because of the increased risk due to degredation of the cylinders. For your power goals go with a boosted setup. Be it TT or single T. Your call. Depends on how much TIME you want to put into it. You're obviously going to have the money to make it happen. TIME is the factor here as most, if not everything will need to be fabricated. A custom intake and exhaust manifold will NEED to be fabricated with the TT setup. Don't take any of this as discouragment, it's not. Just stuff to take into consideration before you make your choice. And keep in mind, if you don't posses any fabrication skills then that kind of stuff can run you a lot of money for good work. More then what you have to spend. Even at 20G's. So do your research and figure your costs. Then multiply that number by anything bigger then 2. If the final answer is within your budget then go that route. Just put a lot of though and research into this. Don't just rely on what other people tell you what to do. Most have not done either of those options.

Remeber it's not how much money you've got. It's who you know and what you can do yourself. Educate yourself first. Then ask educated questions. Don't throw 20G's into something only to find out you're gonna come up short after you've already spent all your money

Just some words of advice from someone who's been there and done that.
