280ZX Sensor Light on

I have a 1982 280ZX and recently my Exhaust sensor warning light came on. I did some research and found how to turn it off. Just copy paste this link to see a photo of what to do.

That is good....OK how about the Z31 cars!Are they the same how to disconnect.I just bought a Canadian 84 50th AE and the Sensor Light is on.......The original owner never bothered!!
