I have always been a z fan. However, I am unsure of which model to purchase. I like the 1990-1996 300z, but if I choose to go that route, will not have enough saved up until maybe the Fall, and will miss the summer. I have driven a 90's version non-turbo 300z and liked it, but actually didn't think it was as quick off the line as I expected. My least favorite body style is the 80's 300z - but there are many of those around - my father used to own a 1981 280z turbo automatic - but he never let me drive it. There are some of those around, but I wonder how quick an inline six is compared to a v-6, although I have heard that the 280z were lighter and hence quicker than the 80's 300z. I also live in the Northeast and worry that if I find a rust free or almost rust free 280z, that even if I store it in the winter, that once the 280z hits the northeast, rust will come. I am a 40 year old guy, I'm not looking for the quickest car on the street, but want something to drive in the summer, especially on the weekends, that gives me a thrill. (I would be buying a manual).
