1981 280zx engine and trans
Have a 1981 280zx and was wondering the the engine and trans would go for. Both are stock. The engine runs and is a strong engine still. Has 90,xxx miles on it. The trans is an automatic and still shifts and drives good. Just wondering the price that they could go for. Thanks

I doubt anyone would want the stock 3speed auto even for scrap... the motor is a common non-turbo, and unless you find a local buyer (you didn't mention your location), the engine would have to be shipped via freight for $100-$300...
Throwing out a rough figure, you could probably sell it for $100.
