1981 280zx 2+2

Just happened while at work. A buddy of mine noticed that my tail lights were on and informed me. I went to check and thought I left my lights on, but I didn't. I started the car and nothing but, CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK. By the way the tail light are still on.

I jumped the car with cables and started right up. I let it run for 5 minutes and then removed the cables. I tried to start the car nothing CLICK CLICK CLICK. Lights work on and off but the tail lights are still on. Tried again nothing, same thing. While intially starting the car I can hear the altenator belt streech. I had to disconnect the tail lights temp.

#1... Check your brake switch. It's a common problem & when it is faulty, the brake lights stay on. Read these threads:
