Well my fears were answered thursday night!!! Primed the fuel lines hit the key cranked and caught like I just turned it off!!!! My first swap and engine build so im a lil over excited. Heres a few wtf's for everyone

#1 Engine I Think is an 81....The exaust manifold Has an o2 sensor that was connected to my 81 body. Now the 80 does not and the manifold is twice the girth. Ordered my collector gasket from nissan. Asked them about it. The parts guy couldnt find an o2 sensor for a 81 on his diagram??? If its fuel injected always thought it needed an o2???

#2 The fuel pump will not shut off in the on position. Sounds like the cold start injector the 81 you had to hold the key half way to start position for it to work. this one just wount shut off. Engine is not flooding and clear no smoke exaust.?

 

Im not 100% sure but I think that California models from 80 and above have o2 sensors.. Mine is a 79 from Cali and Doest have the o2..

thanks alot guess I dont need it Fuel pump is still acting up though some times it fires up sometimes it dont but im also grabbing the battery out of my daily 08 impreza due to the fact I can never remember to bring jumps for the dead battery I have for it LOL Got the fire order correct now going down to change wires around for the 8th time. Then the cooling system power steering pump exaust n drive shaft. this project will never end month 3 starting to lose motovation. Till i come on here
