And for the idiots that think they know all...u still wanna race me? Funny thing none of ya'll said anything. Next time, put your money where your MOUTH is.
To the rest of the intelligent people, I have been getting information on this Z little by little, since theres nothing out there to compare this to...and...the folks that build it are not around anymore, but the car i ZZZZZZ!

Ya, its just what I thought.
Last time I checked, Motorsport Auto advertised that body kit and rear wing too. As Kaminari discontinued the wing, maybe Motorsport auto makes one "aftermarket"
If you do keep it, you could buy a new front air dam to replace yours if you don't think it is fixable.

Re: Okay...I finally put pictures of da monster
These are the latest picks...right now I'm re-doing the interior (notice the 280zx logo embosed on the seats?).
The car started already (loud as heck!), and I'm just tweeking the carbs, cleaning them and stuff...after that, I need to do a calibration on them so they all fire-up sinchrinized...can u receive audio files? =o)

Re: Okay...I finally put pictures of da monster
Thanks forr dee ad...notice the kit showing is a very early adition of the kit, in Kaminari's web site, they still have pics of mine, the flares are way wider. Good looking out. I guess the best way to learn thiz Z's is to get in there and wreck havoc...then cahos, and then...some order
I'll be posting new pics of the interior...it's also made by Kaminari, but I have not found any info. on it.
Thanks again.

Have you drivgen it down the quater mile, i'm pretty impressed with that time and i'm wondering is that info you'd got over the internet or a time you had recorded yourself? Also what has been done to the engine, is it turbo? I don't really know much about these cars, but it looks pretty cool

Hey guys,
Until we see a time slip, lets drop this thing about what
his car will do. 280ZRock its up to you to provide a
time slip on your quarter mile times . Like to see a video
or picture of the car at the track also. I know my car isn't
much faster then a 16 and I have an L28 in it.

Re: Okay...I finally put pictures of da monster
The engine bay looks pretty empty. Possibly this 280zx has had some weight reduction done to it. (I still see the power steering pump) I would be curious to know all that Kaminari did to the inside and whatnot. With tripple Webers, I don't think it is turbo. But it still could have 200hp at the wheels. I know not a lot of people can get that much power, but this engine was supposivly professionally built. Maybe by 12s he means he runs a high 12. That's not totally out of reach.
I do prefer the Motorsport air dam though... but the rear Kaminari wing just fits the car nicely. I wish I could get something decent looking like that for my 2+2 but since it is a deformed 2+2 I'll just leave it clean and smooth on the rearend.

Something else I noticed
It says the car is an 83, so that is not a "turbo" hood. In 1983 both turbo and non-turbo came with that style hood. The side posts are a black plastic like an 83 would have also. (apposed to those stainless ones) But the front and rear bumpers are the older 79-81 style, probably put on because that is what the Kaminari fender flares are made to wrap around.
280ZRock, do you have a digital dash and is the head a hydralic lifter head?

Re: Something else I noticed
it doesnt have a turbo ...... otherwise it would have plumbing going into the carby inlets and you would be able to see it !!!
bleech: there are quite a few tripple webber turbos in japan they can buy parts to do it over there from common performance parts places such as HKS...

Re: Okay...I finally put pictures of da monster
Wow, that 12.8 is a very good time.
That tripple carbed turbo is something I have not seen before. But since all the air comes in from one tube, would it really be an advantage to have thripple throttle bodies? Why not build a custom intake manifold and put a larger throttle body on the single intake pipe? Seems like the setup would allow about the same airflow...
