Question Turbo AFM

Hey all,
My Air Flow Meter just failed on me at a local autocross. Its stuck wide open and its making my car flood unless I keep my foot to the floor...doh! Is there an easy swap out there that someone has done to a hot wire unit or similar without the big expense of an aftermarket engine management system.
Thanks all,

Or has anyone taken the time to figure out air flow volume vs. voltage so I can figure out my own conversion to hot wire.
Too bad my FSM doesn't have it posted right there for me

....hmm, or reach in there and force the flap closed. Then try to prop it just a quarter of the way open. You'll be able to idle ok and flutter the throttle. Probably have ok power under 2500rpm or so. That'll get you to work and back I guess if that's what you want. You can buy them used. I saw a few on zcar.com classifieds. A couple for the turbo were only $60!

Bleach,
I had to remove it to get it unstuck. It moves freely now, but I'm afraid it'll do it again. I also don't like the slow reaction of the flapper type AFMs and the fact that there is a mechanical piece in there to add to the chances of failure. That and its a pain in the neck to get to on a hot car at an autocross event...doh!
