While replacing the exaust manifold gasket I broke the clip for the tps. I started and drove the car anyway and there doesnt seem to be a difference in performance. After searching there seems to be a question of whether or not its needed and mine may have been inoperable anyway since there has been no change in drivability. The car is an 82 turbo can someone tell me possible issues or symptoms related to bad tps.

 

The turbo tps is a simple idle on-off switch. The n/a has idle and full throttle switch. There's an entire section in the FSM for the tps: XenonS130 - S130 Reference
