What does the sensor lamp next to the speedometer mean?

I just had some work done on the heater core and the mechanic had to take the instrument out and I think he crossed some wires or something or it might really be the O2 sensor. Either way its probably nothing serious.

 

Take the panel off under the glove box, and there should be a plug(with one wire) where the bottom right corner of the panel would be. I beleive it is green with a yellow stripe on it.
