Rockauto-Standard Motor Products MAF issue

my current MAF OE part number is this: A31-608-420
cross-references with a 85-87 corolla MAF: MF20058
what gives?!
I ordered the part they have listed under 79 280zx L6 2.8 etc etc: MF0239
It didn't work whatsoever, sent it back got email saying I ordered the wrong part
the part I ordered: MF0239
cross-references with this OE part number: 22680-P7890
what the hell is going on omg?!

Since when does a Toyota 4cyl AFM direct swap with a Nissan 6cyl AFM? Where are you getting this cross reference info?

I know Niku-Sama tried to finagle a Cressida AFM into his 280ZX... dunno if he ever got it running right.

I didnt do it on purpose, the one that is listed under 1979 280zx doesn't work according to rockauto-wrong part. Why is it listed under 280zx? no clue.
I dont know what the right one is so yeah sent them a inquiry. everythings just all messed up over there apparently\
cross-reference info is from rockauto but I have a feeling that was a bad idea

oh found the problem, my car was manufactured November '78 VIN HS130-120288
so I need the pre january '79 MAF
