Relays, what are they?

Does anyone know what the relays are for on the side of the engine bay? I know the purpose of relays, I was just wondering if anyone knew what relay was for what. Maybe you have a diagram or something.

I don't have a diagram with me. I know one kicks in after your engine starts to boost the charge level of the alternator. Another is for your running lights and head lights. One might be an on/off for the ECU.

relays

Air-conrelay, inhibitor relay for grand luxury a/t models,bulb check relay, 2 fuel pump relays, lighting relay,horn and efi relays. This is on mine, a 83 zx turbo, I am sure this varys from year to year. Plus you also have a handful more on the right hand side of the dash and under the seat........
