no voltage at fuel pump
no voltage at fuel pump
My 79 280zx had a bad fuel pump, checked it out and bought another one that works. Now I have no voltage to the fuel pump. Is there more than one relay for this? If so, where might they be located? Is there a fuse or fusible link somewhere I am missing that could be bad?
I would appreciate any help

Re: no voltage at the fuel pump
Which fuse link did you replace? I had a similar problem, where my car shut off intermittently, while driving. (not good when you are turning left in front of oncoming traffic). I tested the pump on my parts car and it worked, so i pulled it from the parts car and tested it on the driver. I pulled the pump power supply up into the trunk and plugged in the pump, laying it in the trunk area. It did not work, so i knew my problem was not the pump. Trying too hard, i next thought that my ignition switch could be bad, since it shut off like someone had switched off the key. After pulling it from my parts car and plugging it into the driver, still no pump whine. I called a mechanic that i bought the car from and he told me that there is a fuse link under the hood, behind a flat metal cover on the passenger fender. I pulled the link from the parts car and put it in the driver and the pump worked. Check that fuse link and if it don't work, someone may know where other links are. Hope this helps !
