No spark (Yes i searched)

I just put my z up for the winter and today i went to start her up.The car is cranking, but no start.I have good fuel pressure, tested the coil and ignitor. These two checked out Just fine.

I'm starting to think the crank angle sensor may've gone bad.Any other idea's on what the problem maybe?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What tests did you do? Is there 12V at the ignitor? Is the coil bracket grounded securely to the body?

Yes, there is 12v at the ignitor.I did the tests with an ohm meter per fsm and haynes. The coil bracket is secured and tight.

CAS, ignitor, coil, or ecu... those would be the main items involved to produce spark. Guess it's time to replace them. Got any spares?

or broken wires... its also possibly that the cap or rotor for the dizzy got messed up beyond belief.

if u wanna check to see if your sparkplugs are getting fire just take out number one and watch it sing while cranking it over. or if your willing to u can do what i did. accidentally drop the white wire on my msd unit while holding plug wires...OUCH blond moment.

If the ignighter is toast then you will get no/intermitant spark at best. I chased that s*&t for two days before I figured it out when I did my turbo swap. Motor started in the donor car and wouldnt run after the swap. Pull that coil wire off at the dizzy ground it and have somebody crank it over. Sparks and its not the ignitor. Make sure you have ignitor pulse at the ECU, and you know if the CAS is good. The CAS sensor could still be good(pull the cap off and look for oil inside the dizzy, sometimes they leak oil past the seal and tost that disc), I would say the ignitor is most likely the culprit. $120.00 at advanced A.P. Dont mean to be a know-it-all just my .02$ from what happened to me. You could always just bust a knuckle open, maybe the Z gods want a blood offering...

No spark(update)

I posted a while ago about not having any spark.I replaced the cas and that didn't fix the problem. The car is cranking, but still no start.I had an extra ecu, coil, and ignitor that were tested on another 280zxt.I also replaced the cap and rotor.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

use a test light to see if you are getting power to the dizzy. if you aren't, go back a little further and check the coil and stuff. you have to find where the current stops.

Combined threads so we don't have to wonder what has been checked so far.

did you do what i suggested? try cleaning the CAS and the wires/connectors for it and the ignitor harness? also is the ignitor sending power to the coil? or just receiving power at the ignitor and thats all you checked for?

did you you check the coil to itself? i saw you said you tested the ignitor dizzy and ecu... but never said anything about the coil. unless you took the whol coil/ignitor assembly out with it. because theoretically speaking if you are getting the power to the ignitor then you its gotta output that to the coil then the coil has to out put it to the cap and rotor. so... sounds like it could be the culprit. or your loosing the proper signal/voltage from the ecu or in the ignitor harness.
