Hi

New to the site, searched for a thread containing info regarding a new vacuum advance. Hope I'm not duplicating info.

I bought a 1983 280ZX manual transmission Datsun earlier this year. I took it to a mechanic and he stated that the Vacuum Advance should be replaced.
Seems like the 22301-P7901 part has been discontinued.
Is there any other parts that can be used in its place? I saw a 22301-G5111, or should I look for a second hand part?

I looked for a long time for advance and not found. Several people have used remanufactured ones with good results. O Reilly, Rock Auto 2 places to look.

 

How did you make out finding a replacement? I have the same car, same issue.
