Timing advance spec? 83 ZX NA

Timing advance spec? 83 ZX NA
FSM says 8.5 deg at 1400 rpm, and up to 15 deg Vac advance depending on amount of vacuum.
I checked my 83 NA ZX:
10 Deg at idle with no advance (both electronic and vac advances disconnected)
12 Deg at idle with everything hooked up
30 Deg at 2000 rpm
40 Deg at 2500 rpm (the marker ends at 30 Deg advance, 40 is just a guess, but the mark advances so far down the flywheel you can barely see it)
Do these seem correct? An advance to 40 at 2500 rpm seems awfully high
