jdm stats/info

does anybody have any info on the 280zx jdm spec? i have tried looking everywhere but to no avail. now most of googles search results come up with either info i have posted or questions i have asked. i know i have the different manifold but i have no idea on what it does in different power/torque specs compared to normal. someone once told me it's a 20rwhp difference but nothing to back it up. any info would be greatly appreciated thanks

As far as I know, Japan never got the L28 in a Z. It was an export only. If there was no JDM spec 280ZX, that may be why your searches are comming up short lol.

If I remember correctly the JDM 280zx was still called the 280z or Fairlady Z or w/e. Search under s130 it'll be easier to find by chassis when you do the searh.

I believe both the L20 and L28 were options for a few years.
Fairlady Z would be the base model with the L20. Fairlady 280Z is of course the L28 model.

I don't know of any differences in manifolds for JDM cars back then.

looks to be from the same or very similar molds. Just different emissions garbage on it. I doubt it makes any more than a 5 horsepower difference if any.

There was probably a 20rwhp difference from the L20e to the L28e due to it being a larger engine.

do you have an Austrailian 280ZX? what engine comes in yours if you do?
