Help!!! I need info.
I have an 86 300ZX TURBO. While driving it in the highway my timing belt went out, and caused a lot of other damage to my engine. I was told that it wold costs up to seven thousand dollars to get my engine replaced, and I find that hard to beleive. But after searching I've found nothing yet. So I'm now trying to rebuild my engine. But unfortunately I'm not all the knowledgable in rebuilding engines, or cars in general for that matter. If some body could help me out with a list of things that they think would get my car up and running, or somewhere that would sell me an engine for my car (for less than I paid for my car) I would be greatfull.

I guess the first place to start would be to decide whether it would be cheaper to buy a new engine, or a used one or repair the one you have. I have seen several 86t engines in salvage yards that were fairly decent for around 5-600$ This would be alot easier than pulling a whole motor apart, but it depends on what you broke. Maybe if you could be a little more clear on what all flew apart.....
