I am officially stuck. HELP ME NISMO PICK!

haha so im trying to have good spirits about this. im stuck installing a heater core. in fact the furthest ive gotten is pulling the dash and cross member. ive searched and searched and found something for a 79 but that just isnt helping me. SO, with that said the picture here is where im at. and what do i do next? ive read in the FSMs and owners manual. no help. am i just heater core retarted or....? thanks guys.

the boxes with the vac lines infront of them... how do i move those or take them out?

Moving vacuum hoses

Color them with paint or other material so you know where each hose goes respectively.

I understand that, i need to know how to get the plastic box things out from behind those

There are 10mm bolts on tabs at the firewall on the bottom of each box. I would explain more but I am Mobile Phoning right now.

That vent towards the left side of your picture is the top of the housing that holds the heater core. You can remove the whole unit and then swap cores.

I tore all of that out of a junkyard 280ZX in record time. It seemed to all makes sense when I was removing it but that was years ago.

What about the ac lines are they ok to just disconect?

The heater core is located in the center control box... you don't touch anything else.

Oh i figured i had to take everything on the left of it to get to it.... So that center piece just comes right out?

there are 2 bolts on the transmission hump and 2 more one on each side in the middle on the firewall.

My only queation i have left is what hoses go to the heater core. Like i said befre the previous owner disconnected the two, and looped them under the hood. How do i know what ones are what. Thanks guys

The line coming out of the head goes to the right side, the return side (left) goes back to the water pump...
