Help In Jacksonville

Anybody know any good Z shops or mechanics in or around Jacksonville, Fl?
Having the same issues as the guys on the forums about the motor missing and I can't find anything.

Thxone used to live in FL... though he doesn't check in much anymore. Hermultra also lives in FL.

I hope you mean the motor "has a miss", not that the motor is missing from the engine bay.

Lets start with: What have you checked?

Well, engine is still there!
Changed computer, distributor, AFM, plugs, Checked all grounds and made sure they were clean, checked fuel filter, fuel pressure is good. Checked for vacuum leaks, checked tps, good.
Interestingly, I ran it yesterday and then pulled the plugs, 6,5, and 4 looked really rich, 3,2, and 1 looked ok. How can that be. I mean I know the engine was running rough but really rich in 3 cylinders?? Again, really really rich.

Is this a turbo or n/a motor?

The L28ET ecu plugs are prone to corrosion & becoming loose, which will cause all kinds of weird problems... I know from personal experience.

Have you also check the CHTS plug & each fuel injector & plug?
The CHTS will make the motor "wig out" if not working correctly. Also, if any of the injectors are clogged, leaking, or sticking, you'll have this type of problem.

do what nismo suggested so far, it's a good start. and where is the miss? at idle or when accelerating at full throttle when you hit a certain RPM or all the time no matter what the car is doing?

it is a non turbo motor.
I changed the ecu so if there was a plug issue, think it would have showed then but will check for corrosion.
Have not checked each injector, will try that.
And hate to ask, what is CHTS?
Also, the miss is now at idle and all along the rev range.
