good performance exhaust?

i got a 1981 datsun 280zx nonturbo.

im looking to invest in a good sounding and performance offering exhaust system...

i want to get a full system, headers all the way back.

anything that i should avoid or not look into as far as certain brands?

i was considering monza, but first i want to ask around about it...

thanks for all the help guys. appreciate it.

A header with 2 1/4 - 2.5 in exhaust with a resonator and nice muffler and your golden. Borla makes nice note, just look up 280zx exhaust vids on youtube to get an idea.

and stickies are your friend

like a muffler, just keeps the noise down. A header with 2.5in exhaust and just a muffler is LOUD. So much so that you cant have a conversation in the car.

sound wise, a header is a header, so heres a clip of a monza muffler on a Z

sounds pretty good imo

MSA 3-2 header, cat delete, and a magnaflow... sounds ricey because it is

its better than a leaky manifold and y pipe

I didn't like how the earlier 280ZXs' had that useless pipe that made it come out on the passengers side, so I chopped it off and trimmed the body so I cant have it straight out of the muffler. That was worth the 30 min of work lol

I have stock everything sept I don't have a cat and I like how it sounds so far.
