working on the car this weekend and noticed that the metal evap tube mounted underneath wheel well up by the gas filler neck has no hose connected to it, is that how it's supposed to be? the other end runs all the way up to front of car to the canister. it's that metel tube that is bent into a 180deg turn and the end looks like it is supposed to have a hose on it?

never noticed it before.. haynes doesnt clearly show if anything attached to that end of it.

 

Yes. It should be connected.
