engine vibration in "D"

This is kinda a new one to me. I'm getting a vibration in drive or reverse with the brake on. When I come up to a stop light I have my foot on the brake waiting to for the light to turn green. Well, while waiting I get this vibration. Now with my experience in virbration of this kind I think of the motor mounts, but I thought you can feel the vibration in neutral and park as well, can there be anything else that car cause this? I do have an auto trannny and it's an '81 turbo.
I was also thinking maybe something to do with the driveshaft since it only happens when the car wants to move, but I have my foot on the brake. Thanks in advance for any suggestion to what might be causing this.

Chris

Could Be A Missfire. Try Plugs, Plugwires And Cap Rotor. Test And Replace As Ness. The Cap Could Be Cross Firing. Or Too Low Of Idle

Yeah check stuff above cause when you're in park and neutral the engine is not under any load. But when you put in drive and keep your foot on the brake you put it under load but it's still idling. Also, make sure the tranny mount is not loose.

some good ideas...geessshhh, "under load" that's the phrase I was looking for. This is what I did this past weekend...the intake/exhaust manifold gasket. Yeah fun... Thanks guys.
