Cyl Head Temp Troubles

My zx is running bad lean I have the AFM as rich as it will go and air fuel ratio is still 16-18 to 1 I wanted to check the CHT, but I dont think my car has one! its not on the pass. side of the head, and I already replaced the temp sensor for the gauge and the only other thing is the thermo time switch. I have been told if you disconnect the CHT the car will not run so i disconnected the wires on the thermotime and it still runs, so i know its the thermo time The car has an n47 head, and I looked at a n47 on a maxima and it has a cht on the pass. side. Help please! I had the car on a dyno so i know the AFR reading is reliable. Dyno results will be in another post.

I believe if the head temp sensor is unplugged, the computer just thinks it's really cold & runs too rich. I've done this... while running, unplug the head temp sensor, it will run for a min more & foul out (die from over fueling).

Can you see the threaded hole for the sensor???

Even w/o that sensor, it should run richer, not leaner. Check your spark plugs to see how the tips look... and if they all look the same. You might have a fuel injector / pressure problem.

there isnt even a plug in the block where it should go. No wiring over there either.
