Cold Air Intake Yes or No question

Ok, I see a few have them. I see you can get them cheap off ebay, so I was just wanting to know if they are worth it. I have used them on other cars and trucks in the past, and had mixed results. I just have a plain Jane 79 280zx no turbo or anything. So just wanting to know before I go wasting my money. And I don't care about gas mileage ether.

Thanks
Dobber

Feel free to search as "Cold Air Intake" is about the most commonly asked question on every single car forum. By itself it will do very little. In combination with other upgrades, it will help.

IMO dobber the "cold air intake" is one of the most useless wastes of money on your z... Air at sea level at 70*F has a density of 0.0745 lbm/ft3 ... I imagin your air box will be at the most will be 130*F which is 0.0669 lbm/ft3 at sea level. Not nearly any gain...
