Cam advanced.... uh-oh...

Ok, so I woulda posted this in my thread but didn'/t feel like it. This would grab more attention faster. I replaced the chain and tensioner when I did the timing, but I found out once in the motor that the rod bearings had been changed once before, and all the timing components on the car looked almost brand new, so i didn't worry about changing the gears since the teeth were straight as an arrow and there were almost no signs of wear on the guides. However once I assembled it, and I used the #1 slot on the cam gear, I slapped the front cover on and crank pulley so I could line up TDC on crank degrees, and I found my cam is ADVANCED almost 2 full cam degrees (about 6 crank degrees). Now this isn't fixable, because the other slots on the cam gear #2 and #3 are just going to advance the cam another 2 degrees if I remember correctly. Should I be worried? What are the possible outcomes? grrrrrr....

If you turn it over by hand and the valves don't hit the pistons then you should be fine.

Lol, yes I know it will be fine in that aspect, I'm more or less worried about performance loss or a pain in the *** idle or something along those lines. The valves I am very sure are no where near in danger of touching pistons with that little of difference... I'm more worried about second hand consequences. Running issues.

advanced valve timing would help with the top end of a boosted car.
