You talking about these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I saw them too & emailed the kid. They are high impedence fuel inectors (280zx are low impedence). he said they will work w/ the 280zx ecu since the z has a dropping resistor... but correct me anyone if I'm wrong, but the 280zxt doesn't have a dropping resistor...???

Also, those injectors don't look like they'd fit the 280zx injector ports.

Also, stock 280zx ecu's don't like big injectors.... period.

The SVO/XR4Ti are 370cc and low impedence. Theres also Mercedes 450 SEL low impedence injectors that are about the same flow rate. You'll probably have to play with the AFM to get to idle right.

You'll have to do a little bit of modding to get the SVO injectors to fit the stock fuel rail. I've heard the Mercedes injectors drop right in but I haven't tried it myself.

You'd figure they would. I mean being how as our motors use the Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection which is made by the same Germans that did the FI on those Mercedes

You can use 370's, but note that your car will be running really rich at idle and low speed cruising. You can tighten the afm to get the car to idle and run, but the fumes coming from the exhaust will be so bad it'll make your eyes water. Run a straight pipe cause those 370's will foul out the cat. To make them fit the 280zxt, just trim the top of the injector that attaches to the fuel line and take off the pintle cap.

Btw, I was referring to the Ford 370's. The high impedence Toyota ones will work on an 81zxt since they have dropping resistors, but otherwise you'll need to add some for a 82-83 zxt.

Brand new from the factory... but who'd do that when you can get a set from a junk yard for $50... or ebay for $75 - $100? They may not be new, but if they work like they should... then you just saved $500...

I'm still using the stock 270's at the moment, but I have a set of 460cc RX7 injectors I will be using w/ a stand alone.

Yep, I got a set of 370's that I picked up for about 40 bucks from the junkyard. If you really want to be safe, you can have them cleaned and serviced for about 30 bucks a piece at a fuel injector specialist. Anyway, I used to run the 370's on the stock efi and had no problems with it other than the rich idle. I ran those injectors with ~12psi of boost and didn't have any problems. I had to swap back to the stock injectors when I switched over to the 300zx ecu setup because it isn't able to compensate for the larger injectors and would flood the motor. So I just bumped up the fuel pressure a few psi and it's fine.
