240sx tranny

i was wondering if anyone knows if a 240sx 5 speed tranny will fit a 83 280zx

Yes it will work, but you will need to do some machining to get it to fit. Some people on the other Z forums have done the swap. I believe the sx tranny is more durable than the Z's tranny as well.
