I've heard a lot about this swap lately as well as the 1'' spacer that's needed. #1 I'm not around a bunch of fellow Zers here so I can't really look at one. ( I know...just join the Z club...) #2 I guess I need to fabricate this spacer, correct? #3 I know you have to re-wire the thing. Do I use the old connectors from the 280 and splice on to the 240 TB... or is this a complete re-wire?

Well, I haven't done this swap yet as I'm planning to do this later this summer. From what I've gathered, if you want to keep the stock linkage, than yes you need to fab a 1" spacer. If not, you'd have to modify your existing linkage to adapt to use the cable of the 240SX. How hard of a mod that is, I have no idea. Yes you have to modify your TPS of the 280ZX to work with 240SX TB. I think it was JeffP who had said you have to use a multimeter and just rewire the 3 wires to match the 240's. That's all the info I've got on this swap, hope that gives a general direction.
