Does any one know where to buy a zxR rear wing or mabe a replica of it super stud ICICE with the sickest zx ever has a replica of one. He got it the in 80'es but he doesnt know where to get one now .
I was hoping someone out there could shed a little light on it for me
i googled it but all i got was some listing about the wing it self.
it said that at 100 mph it put 370 lb of down force on the rear end :bling:

79 blue L28E i noticed that you have a 2+2 the 280ZX-R wing wont fit that hatch.. you might have to do some extra work to get that wing to fit on your car.... they only made that wing to fit a 2 seater...

 

ore work is good but i dont see how aren't the hatchs the same. What is diff about them ?

the 2 hathes are diffrent.. the 2+2 hatch is smaller and is at an odd angle for the ZX-R wing to fit corectly.. if you look at a side profile of both cars youll see what i mean.. the only way i can see you being able to fit the wing is to fabricate a bracket or a spacer but then it would put the wing a bit higher then it would be on the coupe....

 

I see........................ I saw a coupe today for sale and the back did look a little diff i still want to try it but at almsot 300 bills for the wing iam a little worried i dont want to spend money on some thing that wont work. what about changing the hatch would that work have you heard of any one trying it iam getting two coupe part cars soon and i would be will two try that first......

 

you cant swap out the hatchs.. the 2+2 hatch is ahorter than the coupes. even the glass on the 2+2 is smaller then the coupes and ven if you were to change tem the angle of the ach is still wrong...

 

That sooooooooo wont work.......I was wrong I SEE THE DIFF NOW that i looked at them side by side i wish i had 2600 bill for this coupe that is for sale ............. 81 and claen only 115000 on the motor stock and ready for the goods DID I SAY IT WAS CLEAN {I MEAN CLEAN} not a dent or a bit of rust . well thanks for the heads up on the zxR wing

 

How about you fix the body on the turbo car you're going to buy?

 

I would love to its just right behind the drivers door theres alot of damage so much that it is pushing the little window back some and i am not that skilled iam going to look at it so this week mabe that will be the way to go :headspin:

 

Ya, all the rear unibody on the Z is the hardest to fix. Sounds bad. To get the window lined up right, you might need to cut out a section of another 2-seater ZX and weld it in there. That is still a pretty hard job to do. I probably couldn't get it lined up right...

well, maybe you should just have me buy that turbo car instead.
