Tires

MY Z has the stock turbo wheels and I am looking to get some new performance summer tires. I want something real cheap, someone suggested the khumo ecsta supra 712's or BF g-forces. I went to tire rack and for my tire size they all seem to be pretty cheap, looking to spend around$70 a tire. I drive mostly on the street and will eventually be taking it to the track. Thanks KTm 200

I love my Kumho Ecsta Supra's. They are a great street tire that works well for the ocasional track day.

If you're staying around 15", Nitto 450 Extremes are a pretty good deal. I liked them as they had plenty of grip and wouldn't get squirrely when you hit the limit of traction on them. They aren't the best tire in the rain though, just to give you a heads up in case it rains a lot where you're at.

No 'performance' tire is going to be that good in the rain. Wet traction and dry traction are usually mutually exclusive design goals.

I've used both the Kumho's and Nitto's and the Kumho's I've had have been quiter than the Nitto's but the traction has been pretty close between the two.

I would go for Yokohama AVS ES100's. They're about the same price as the Kumho's and have been better in the rain for me.

So you know, I just replaced the Nitto 450's on one of my cars with the Kumho 712's and am currently running the Yokohama AVS ES100's on my ZXT so this is all pretty recent experience.
