I am going to try to refinish them this weekend..cheaper option to new rims...anyway..colors..should I keep them that gold/bronze...do them in black, try to polish them, or chrome then.

Don't go for black. I don't really like the look of all black wheels. I would suggest polishing them becasue they are aluminum wheels. I haven't seen that style polished up yet, but the 6-star rims look great polished. That'll clean off the old paint too.

Wheels
I started to refinish my wheels and was going to paint the inside gold and polish the outside(I have the 4 spoke i guess you would call it wheels off a 1980 280zx 2+2 GL) and first used some clear coat peeler i bought in a car from autozone. You spray the stuff on and it starts to bubble up and peel off in a couple seconds. Then I took scotch brite pads and cleaned it all up. For some of the really tuff stuff that i couldnt get off by hand i bought scotch brite type wheel that i put on a drill. I didn't finish them yet but its worked so far. Good luck
