Windshield Trim Questions
The top chrome piece came off my windshield this morning. Luckily, it stayed attached and just has one minor bend. I'm hoping to get a shop to put it back together properly, but I'm guessing I'll need to chase down some parts and maybe even adhesive for them to do it. Can anyone start me down the right path? Also, has anyone tried to touch up the black part on the side trim pieces? Thanks!

You can get the windshield trim pieces from Nissan, MSA, or BDA (click: https://www.zdriver.com/forums/240z-280zxt-s30-s130-tech-tips-275/where-buy-parts-your-280zx-18264/ )
Might want to just take a peak under the trim, it probably just needs to be popped back on, or if the windshield was replaced at some point in time, the installer probably just silicone'd it on.
As for side trim "touch up", it depends on what you are trying to touch up? A surface scratch? Deep gouge?

i have not gotten to that stage yet...but when i do i intend to spray a primer coat on the trim first...paint and chrome dont seem to bond well...personally i prefer the trim bright over blacked out.

my question is..how difficult is it to replace the part below the windshield, with the wiper grill on it.. lots of bubbling, never a good sign.. would rather replace it then repair it..and prefer to use the non lead solder type as sold on eastwood.. anyone tried this?
