What kind of wheels?
What kind of wheels?
I have a 1981 280zx n/a 5 spd. I have been looking for wheels and tires for my z for just about a yr now and haven't found any that would work too well. Anything not too pricey, but looks decent that will sit with stock suspension?
Welcome to ZDriver!!!
Have you checked the wheels at MSA / BDA ?

We also have many discussion threads here about wheels.

aww ****, i really do wish i had the money for wheels now because i was going to post a link to a few places but one of the places i was going to post has the ever elusive Work Equip 02's, theyre only 14's how ever the 15's are even more harder to find. all 4 for the low low price of $700....CRAP!
well you get the other places:
http://www.memoryfab.com/
http://www.more-japan.com/home.php <- really only good for old school BBS MK series wheels
if your into the old school stuff theres some good info on wheels at these places:

I'd probably sell em to ya cheap, but shipping would be a killer!
yea maybe..wut kind of condition? and how did they feel. going from stock to larger wheels with stock suspension. no big changes? and i may have a way to handle shipping. o also did they fit with no mods? very beautiful z.

The wheels have less than 2,000 miles on them, so they're almost brand new. One rim has a scratch about an 1/8 inch long on the very edge of the rim. They felt fine on the car...also ran them on a 2+2 before selling the tires off of them. I bought them from MSA so I have the adapters to mount them for a direct fit...no mods necessary.
That'll work. right now i have another problem its not starting so...first things first. gotta find out why. it cranks, trys to spark, backfires per say out of the intake. i know im gettin fuel and spark but idk. whats an easy way to check timing on this? besides taking the front cover off.
Advanced. First off, if you haven't already, find you a service manual. Either a Haynes or download the fsm, www.Xenons130.com has it..look under reference.
Ok...i problem about the timing light. It only cranks no start. And its an inconsistant crank. due to batt low. mostly stable with jumper box so..but i am going to take off my valve cover in the morning and check to see if dots are aligned and also adjust my valves and make sure my dist. is on tdc. any pointers about adjusting valves on my z?
