does any one know where to buy whale tails for a 79??? All i can find is for older models

MSA sells them. I look in the MSA catalog and the picture they show is that it's mounted to an early Z, but the whale tail is for the 79-83 ZX.

There was some whaletale spoiler that I saw that looked really good with hatch louvers, but I cannot remember which whale tale it was.
