vacuum form ABS

im currently looking into vacuum molded ABS as a hobby, after seeing those side skirts, do you think other parts would hold up or is ABS not as strong or wont hold up as much as say fiber glass? i dunno im just throwing ideas about.

Will they hold up?

Lemme ask you this: Are you going to be hitting / sliding on things? Are you going to rally the car? Do you have steep driveways or speedbumps to go over?

Fiberglass is much more rigid and lighter than ABS, but when stressed, it will fracture/snap long before ABS. The nice thing of ABS is that you can flex, bend, and hit it, and it'll usually return to shape. So it all depends on what kind of part you're making; ie abused areas, like splashguards, wheels wells, etc, you'll probably want the indestructibility of ABS.
