for those looking for "wing" mirrors

well i did a lot of digging and then some more and came up with lots of companies that sold them but they were all in the UK on sites for Healey and MG parts. then i was talking to a buddy and he did some searches on some japanese sites for me and couldnt find much. then almost simultaniously we realized that VB has both a MG and Healey catalog. soooo here ya go. they dont have the spring mounted mirrors but they have all the others

For the rear view mirror??? IMO thad be really cheesy & out of place to mount an old school chrome mirror on a 280zx dash... And those side (fender) mirrors don't blend w/ the 280zx style. You might be able to pull it off w/ a 240z - 280z.... not a 280zx.

But hey... thas just me.

Hey... if you dig that style, try it out. I was just voicing my opinion. Here's another similar thread about 280zx mirrors:

yes those bullet shape mirrors look just like the Fairlady Fender mirrors but with less length on the arm. I was actually thinking of mounting that type of mirror on my 280ZX. I think the round style would go ok with the car and looks better than the boxy 80's mirrors.... but you wont be seeing as much of the road that's for sure.

I have a pair of the Fairlady Z mirrors (for my Fairlady) I could possibly mock them up on my ZX and see how they look.

well to be perfectly honest they would only be there for looks really. i would adjust them to se my blind spot and thats all i would use them for. i dont trust mirrors and i have become very acustomed to turning my head and looking with my eyes because i ride the bike every other day. so im really only after looks with this

I use my rear and side mirrors to get an idea of what is around me. I have always looked by turning my head before I change lanes. Never had an accident yet.
