Replacing Clock with a Stereo
Replacing Clock with a Stereo
Alright, so I went to the stereo installation place and talked to the guy there, I told him I wanted to install a head unit in my car tastefully, he said the back and I use a remote, but I was like nah I dont want a remote, so he suggested putting it in the clock (analog) using this: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-JeyjCHL...RM-X60M-L.html
It's for boats! lol
he didn't know the exact dimensions of it at the time, so I looked it up at home, found the dimensions but have been to lazy to go out and measure.
my question for you guys is, is it possible to remove the clock from that 3 gauge cluster, I know that there all one big housing behind the dash, but has anybody ever tried to take off just the clock part, but have everything else still work? (without doing any permanent damage)

Before you do anything, sit in your car with your seatbelt on and try and press the plastic face on the clock without leaning over. Now imagine doing 60 down the freeway and having to reach over and hit the right button.
^ Good point man. I think one with a remote would be better. I give him props for the idea. I think it is kind of cool. Of course I can reach across and put my hand out the passenger window, when I am sitting in the car. lol
yea lol, i realized that today, its like that hall from ***** wonka that gets smaller as you walk in lol, but my mom did come up with another idea that doesn't look as good, buts functional, putting it over the cubby
