Questions about first time interior work.

I picked up my 280zx as a project, and the interior is pretty beat up. This is my first time working on interiors, and first time on this forum, and I have a few quick questions.

1. I was wondering if anyone here knows of some seats from non-datsun cars that fit well, and look more like the originals, and less like race car seats.

2. All the plastic and vinyl is pretty stained and beat up. I've seen videos of people painting interior parts with vinyl dye. Does this actually look good years later? or does it peel/flake off after a few months? I'd like to use this to repaint all the plastic parts a same shade of dark brown, or at most 2 shades. It kills me that there's like 4 different colors of brown randomly thrown all over the interior/dash.

3. The silver bits around the power windows, mirror controls, etc, are flaking, showing yellow plastic underneath. What's the best way to get these looking good again?

4. The door panels have some very small rips in them. What's the best way to repair a rip in this super thin vinyl?

I'd be super grateful for any help with the above questions.

I have my 82ZX with the interior removed this weekend too ... A buddy o mine that works at the Toyota paint shop said to use a "adhesion promoter" before spraying the hard plastic panels ( around doors and A column)
I'm going to recover the panels in the back ( with the falling off vinyl ) with head liner material to mach the headliner.

I'm just finishing a restoration of a 1983 280ZX. What is unfinished is the back trim/shroud that cover the rear area. It is a thick cardboard wrap covered in vinyl. Is it possible to get replacements for this from an aftermarket source? Thanks for any suggestions.
