Painting my Z

Ok Ive starting working on taking body pannels off my broken down Z and putting them on my 2+2 Lest the front clip anyways

So far I started on the hood, It had rust cancers on it but nothing very major and I started on with with airplane paint remover, Removed SOME And founf theres about 5 or 6 layers of PAINT!. Gold, Primer, emerald, primer brown (i think, primer then black....

Should I just buy a new hood? your get more then a spray can worth on the remove and get to work?

Welcome to hell.

I bought an OEM hood about 8 years ago for something like $400... primed it & it's still sitting in the massive Nissan box in my storage shed.

I say buy another can and get to work. I mean theres nothing like looking at it when its done and knowing your blood and sweat went into it.
