Need Advice On How To Remove...Stuff

I have some questions on "how-to" and what the "heck?"

How do i remove the adhesive(black stuff) that holds the exterior trim?

And this ugly auxiliary antenna, plus the t-top shade mounting tabs(2 black circle pieces), which i dont have a picture of, but i hope everyone knows what im talking about.

Besides my gas cap, am i missing something here? i feel like their should be a grommet of some sort that belongs there...

What the heck is the square thing above the hazard switch?

The glue you can remove it with a gas soaked rag (make sure to wax the area afterwords)

You have to buy new glass if theres a hole through it. otherwise if its jsut stick-on just use a razor blade to peal it up.

I dunno much about T-tops

Yes your missing the plastic cover around the filler neck.

And the last thing I honestly have no idea. Was wondering it myself.

the antenna is just a stick on and a putty knife will get it off. the sticky stuff comes off with a putty knife and goo gone. the gas cap should have a plastic trim that goes in there. the hazard switch has that black square that sticks thru on all models. why they did that is beyond me.

I refer to the square button as the idiot switch. It works like this:

Step one. go out to you car and press hard on the "button" and hold with you finger.

Step two. remove finger when you feel like an idiot.

Having done this a couple of times I have to say it works.

The square button looking thing is just part of the hazard switch assembly. If I had to guess it probably functions as a relay.

I have used 3M adhesive remover to tackle the black weather strip adhesive. worked pretty well on it, may work on the molding glue as well...
